@flexghost I think the most likely option is the DoJ is worried that someone will tell Gaetz what they have on him. Him being a snitch is option 2, and someone at DoJ trying to protect him because (R) is the lowest probability

100% on the money. DoJ can't trust the House Ethics Committee. Snitches get stitches; I wouldn't mind Gaetz getting a few scars since he likes to act tough. But after he's puked all the details.
