Under no scenario you should have Telegram installed on your phone. It's basically the Hulk Hogan of E2EE apps

@eS@skotchygut@campuscodi It's not encrypted, unless you specifically enable Secret Chats that are available only in one-on-one conversations. That's the biggest problem with it, security-wise. The developers are based in the UAE.
