@JimmyB A lot of people on the dark side have but I've not seen any reply from them. Some supermarkets (Tesco, in my experience, but I've seen anecdotal reports of others) are not publishing country of origin information - particularly on their fresh fruit and veg online - I assume to avoid scrutiny. "Packaged in the UK" is used a lot on produce normally sourced from OPT.

@fkamiah17 That's so bad... it seems only reasonably to know where products come from.

Thankfully, I'm sure a #Starmer government - with their big commitment to decency, human rights and equality, will fix all this.

OK - so that article makes sense. We should still have true country of origin and any other country involved in manufacture, processing or shipping, listed.

You can imagine how much money would pour in to stop a serious political movement that was demanding this.

@JimmyB Indeed. It's in the financial interest of the big supermarkets not to change their suppliers based on what I'm sure they see as a "fringe" protest against country of origin.
