"mel" means flour in the Scandinavian languages.

"gips" means gypsum/plaster

So I always thought "Mel Gibson" had a funny name. Hello, mister Flour Plaster.

@thor flour as in grinded grain, sounds like flower.
Where in dutch the similar word for flour is bloem. Which is the same as flower

Other language accidents...

It's rather hard to ignore that Arnold's last name "Schwarzenegger" sounds rather rude to Scandinavians.

"svarte neger" means "the black/swarthy negro"

Hello, Arnold the Soot-Black Negro!

"svarte" is sometimes used for swearing. "svarte faen", where "faen" is "fanden" (the devil, old nick) shortened.

We usually avoid calling black people "svart" here because of the svart-swarthy connection. We either just avoid mentioning the skin colour, or we say "mørkhudet" - dark-skinned. "hud" as in English "hide". But even this has problems. "mørk" is essentially the same as English "murky". So, your hide is murky. It's hard to find any positive words for "black" in our language...
