@neil When one of the official fixes for LiveUpdate was to start the computer without the modem connected I started to look for alternative anti-virus for customers. To its credit, Norton still offered pretty solid protection back in its heyday.
@neil Be careful. Oh sure, it starts with buying old copies of Norton. But before you know it you’ll be driving over a hour to collect a sawtooth G4, carefully replacing the crappy voltage regulator on a 48k ZX Spectrum, and fretting over whether your upscaler is adding 0.2ms of lag to the signal from your Atari ST.
@neil OMG I have a shrink-wrapped McAfee VirusScan Security Suite from the late 90s in a cupboard somewhere, I couldn't bear to throw it out as it was such a relic.
Had not considered selling it!
It includes "1 year quarterly updates by post and 90 days of telephone product support." which strikes me as a challenge.
