One thing I wonder: I think fedilab is the only app where I hit an upload button and I have to choose what type of media I want to upload. In all other apps, this is done transparent for the user. What's the reason for this?
@apps
Ahh now I get it. Thanks for explaining. Nevertheless I personally find it strange as all my other apps behave in a different way.
But.. Just my opinion 😉
@apps
Fedilab sollte noch offene Baustellen schließen, die Übersetzungsfunktion ist oft ohne Funktion. Auch passiert es das nicht immer alle Tröts in der Home-TL abgerufen werden. Bitte erst solche Dinge reparieren bevor neues kommt.
@apps I'd prefer some more "pain relief", e.g. an option to suppress display of an author's posts #2 to #n of a thread (as if the respective thread author had set their posts #2 to #n to "unlisted").
@apps Well, if I had done that, I would have missed this reply by you 😂
What I mean is: replies of people to their own posts, as often used for threads (usually marked like "1/5", "2/5", ... "5/5"). I'd like to suppress "2/5" to "5/5", since I'd read these anyway if I was interested in the thread.
Having all posts of a lengthy thread that is of no interest to me clutter my timelines is a recurring pain for me.
It's wonderful that you have that functionality - I would love to be able to turn off replies to self separately if that is possible. Is there a way to do that?
Get new toots -> app scrolls up automatically. However, I would like to stay at the last place in timeline I read.
For the 2nd case I have attached a screenshot.
I am missing the button to retrieve the complete history of the toot.
This does not happen automatically, as I think it should? That's why I wish the button back.
Thank you very much. For all your work!
Love your app❣️
@rumo
For the first point, have you disabled the "remember position" in settings?
Or what do you mean by "get new toots" ? Tap twice in the tab? If so, it's a normal behavior.
@apps
I think it would be very useful for users who follow accounts on servers that support it. This is my case, for instance. But I don't think it is a priority.
I use #latex daily but I doubt I would use it for social media posts. I'm very happy with the #latex math support already available. This is my main reason for using #Fedilab.
@apps
You already support the LaTeX math environments.
For text formatting there is now markdown support, which is more readable than LaTeX without having rendering it.
Apart from mathstodon.xyz - in the Webinterface - I don't know where else math environments are supported.
Haven't tested it, but combining both would solve most issues, don't it?
Overall I think it would be too much.
PS: writing LaTeX on Android devices without a physical keyboard is not something I would like to do.
@ASP
Nitter is fixed, you have to change the default instance.
Currently nitter.net throws a 403, they suggest to switch while they will enable back RSS feeds on their instance.
