It dates from 1410. It has four main moving components: the zodiacal ring, an outer rotating ring, an icon representing the Sun, and an icon representing the Moon.
The TV show, Adomatic Tengoku, aired some time mid April 2015 on TV Tokyo. The crew was capturing tourist views on Enoshima. I hope my "Enoshima is beautiful, this is the Mont Saint-Michel of Japan" made it to the cut.
A Japanese member of the W3C Advisory Board excitedly told me he’d seen me on TV!
When I visited Le Louvre and saw Mona Lisa for the first time, three thoughts occurred to me:
The painting is smaller than I anticipated.
I was not going to try to get closer because feeling crowded is a source of anxiety.
This scene is a painting of sort too.
@antoinnesterk hah! yes, right?!
"tableau" has many meanings in French, from painting, to black/white board, to spreadsheet/table, to (switch) board, and even just a scene!
That gives a lot of options in terms of choosing the right depiction.
@amyvdh@koalie I know, right? This seems downright unfair 🤣 I'm over here looking like it's a mug shot on my ids and koalie is straight out of a hollywood shoot or something.
Still picture in #BlackAndWhite from a time lapse I made when I painted in black ink the Angel of Death Victorious.
The bronze sculpture of a life-size angel guarding the grave of Francis Haserot at Lake View Cemetery, Cleveland, Ohio was created in 1924 by sculptor Herman Matzen.
The black tears that pour out of his eyes and drain down his neck appeared over time as the bronze aged.
Such a happy and memorable "Superman" moment in October 1994 (at #w3c 20th anniversary) when Vint Cerf and Tim Berners-Lee donned / revealed t-shirts that @amyvdh and I had custom-made, and they were good sports to agree to wear!
An image is worth a thousand words:
• Tim Berners-Lee invented the #Web (and later founded @w3c )
• Vinton Cerf invented the Internet.
@9x0rg euh… sa spécialité à lui c’est juste la manette. De jeu vidéo.
Il a daigné faire du vélo avec moi deux fois, sur mon ancien vttae depuis novembre dernier que j’ai le nouveau…

This ring is precious to me. A gift from my mother who received it as a gift from my father at the occasion of the birth of my twin brother and me. He’d bought the ring with matching pendant and earrings (which she’s keeping) at an antique shop.
@l_inadapte c’est clair ! On était tellement contentes de leur avoir communiqué notre joie et vendu l’idée de la surprise, que ça reste un très satisfaisant souvenir ! @david
