Our proposed #AI law classifies technologies based on risk:
⚠️ Ban on AI systems that threaten citizens, like social scoring or specific facial recognition.
⚠️ Strict regulations for high-risk AI in healthcare, education, and critical infrastructure.

Um ... hate to break it to you, but I hope everyone is aware that this logically entails that Ylva Johansson's #Chatcontrol dreams as proposed* are dead in the water?
Chatcontrol ("#CSAM") proposal features a filter based on "AI" that will automatically report, and thereby threaten and mortally endanger, scores of innocent citizens for what it "thinks" is child abuse.
@EU_Commission I guess this is a covert attack on pineapple. I have yet to hear anyone state what their actual issue is with pineapple on pizza. They only attack the fact that it is there. It enhances the taste of the pizza.
@EU_Commission What measures will then be taken to not stay behind in the field of AI development compared to foreign powers that might not respect those regulations, like US or PRC? We are already behind with European Hi-Tech industry.
@EU_Commission may suggest: A ban on calling things AI unless some specific parameters are met, and a very rigorous definition that rules out simply making automated statistics faster? After all, AI is now a marketing term & we regulate those...
