@kushal The high-kill option would be Zotero. The browser integration supports full HTML captures, and it has a Tag system.

@kushal I don’t know about the local cache, yet I use Omnivore for bookmark and highlights of what I read. You can sync to #obsidian directly

@kushal I like Bear for macOS and iOS, with some custom Shortcuts to add links etc. as needed.

Also take a look at Obsidian: not as pretty but even more powerful.

@kushal Yeah so I wrote a little Shortcut to grab the URL of the current page I’m reading and throw it into Obsidian (or Bear in my case), pulling the title etc., and then send it to Pinboard.in too.
I just use the local markdown file to make notes against the URL it’s against, sometimes after capturing the PDF of the site too but not usually.

@kushal I use Wallabag to save articles and read later. It’s not perfect, sometimes the article doesn’t look so great, but it’s still readable. Works well most of the time though.
