@dmakovec@protonprivacy if anything it shows that even legal powers are extremely limited in getting much data from Proton, and that only user precautions could have prevented this from happening (from a legal standpoint). I find this reassuring in terms of the privacy provided by the Proton service itself.

It’s also important to differentiate that VPN is not classified as a communication tool in Switzerland — Proton VPN does not log IPs and there are no existing Swiss laws that can compel us to do so.
@maccath@protonprivacy Proton is good, I use them for email, only thing I think could do a bit better is the android app for Proton Mail, it's a bit clunky, like doesn't always mark opened emails as read and little things like that. Calendar has worked just fine for me.
