The successor to Nintendo Switch named Switch 2 will continue to be a hybrid console that can be played on TV and in portable mode, it will be launched without an OLED screen (it will have an LCD) and it will have cartridges/cards for physical games , according to various sources. Anonymous to VGC, where they say that the device...
Since the steam deck 2 will make use of the amazing gains, I wonder if people will really start considering the Deck as an alternative to Switch 2. There's already a TON of overlap in the indy game scene. SO many of those release on both Steam and Switch.
Obviously the hardcore Nintendo IP fans will stick with Switch 2, but outside of that ... ???
Larian truly is one of the modern greats, so I'm happy for them to take however long they need for a break :) Come back refreshed and make DOS3, and take as long as they need! Sooooo love their games.
That's not really true. When it first came out, before the ads, before the algorithm, when they embraced 3rd party apps with an open api, it was really great. It was full of techy personalities and interesting folks. Hashtags were fun to follow, live events were amazing in real time, so much more. That was before it got inundated with politics and celebrities though. I think that honeymoon phase only lasted a tiny while, then it all went downhill into the outrage machine pretty quickly. But for a quick minute there, it was glorious.
What's the use case for this? Why would I want to replace the keyboard/trackpad with a screen? What will I display on that bottom part that's more useful than having physical keys?
It'll be hilarious in several years time when they've completely abandoned the entire VR multiverse concept, when they have to explain to people what their company name means.

Several years ago, I saw her come up in an ad on netflix for a new scifi show "Another Life" -- I didn't know anything about it, but loved her in BSG, so I thought what the hell and watched it.
OH. MY. GOD.
I don't think I can ever watch anything she does ever again. I still to this day think it's BY FAR the worst tv show I've ever seen. I don't even know how you can make something SO terrible, they must have tried on purpose.
How she read that script and accepted the job is just unbelievable.
Corsair announced today that the company is acquiring boutique keyboard manufacturer Drop as the company plans to improve its mechanical keyboard and accessories offering for gaming enthusiasts.
This is exactly what I was going to say. The MT3 design is the only thing I care about from that site that's long passed it prime. I have a Susuwatari as well as a Godspeed set and they are by far my all time favs. I haven't even looked to buy a new set of caps in years now they are so amazing.
Please Corsair, DON'T SCREW WITH MT3 YOU BASTARDS.
I enjoy Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup played in the terminal with ASCII graphics. I wonder whether there are other hidden gems out there which don’t get attention because they are “ugly”?
I loved this at first but then the complexity of the various mechanics seemed to take a sharp rocket ship upwards through the roof. I got kind of lost and then tried to read the wiki guide and it was like a book, so that was that. I really wanted to like it though! Maybe I should give it another go.
I think LW is better out of the box. It has both UBO and Containers built in. Which is just awesome. I still use FF as my daily just because I have customized it beyond belief, but if I were to start over again I think I'd start with LW.
I'm not sure I understand wireless trackball. The only reason I wanted a wireless mouse was because I didn't like the drag and the pull from the cable. That doesn't exist with a trackball. I much prefer wired for a keyboard because similarly it doesn't move so doesn't require charging or batteries.
Maybe I'm naive, but I can't imagine there's a huge market for wireless trackballs?
It flopped, they killed it, brought it back, killed it again, relaunched a new division for software only, then killed that. That's big brain business management right there. Pichai has been the biggest failure of a ceo I've seen in a very long time. It's really incredible.
