In the Funen countryside in Denmark, you may encounter the most adventurous creatures!
Many months of intense work were showcased yesterday to a fairly large crowd of alert and focused children when Ballhaus' and Via Artis Konsort's outdoor opera for children 'Nature Opera' had its premiere.

NATURE OPERA
In Ballhaus' opera for children and their families, several animals make an appearance, all helping to keep nature's cycle going.
Here, the Lark has been spotted during a rehearsal :)

A Multicultural Song
'Soledad Nórdica' is a classical art song inspired by popular Spanish dances and records of both early flamenco music and Danish folk music. Spanish and Danish cultures are intertwined in a song that is neither exclusively Spanish nor Danish, but rather a fusion of both.

Christmas in Mexican style! 🙂
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZParkjE-KMw

It's been 10 years since Via Artis recorded the #Mexican Christmas song 'Convidando está la noche' in San Esteban de La Sierra, Spain.
The title translates to something like "The Night Invites", referring to #Christmas night.
The song itself is almost 400 years old, so a decade more or less doesn't really matter in this context 🙂

Merry Christmas to everyone!

I'm very proud to present an article (written by me) regarding a topic that is very near and dear to me. The topic is how to remember the journey and the exploration of arts, that is either new or unknown to us. We need the experience, we long for inspiration, but we sometimes forget (how) to do it <3

'Vuestros ojos' is a song found in a 1610 collection of titled "A Musicall Banquet" edited by Robert (1591-1641). Robert was the son of the 'father' (John Dowland) of the melancholic wave, that was sweeping Europe at the time
'Vuestros ojos' was a popular song in that melancholic , but added a Spanish temperament!

Is it ok to take a popular #hymn and #paraphrase it beyond recognition?
Well, #composers have done it over the centuries.
Here is the latest contribution to the series with a modern take on the #Danish hymn 'Lyset engel' (Angel of light) by Danish ensemble Via Artis Konsort.
