@WagesOf For the arr-mateys downloading the episodes sequentially and across a time period to preserve the non-bingey process of watching shows.

It's what I do for Japanese live-action shows and for stuff from the west that isn't accessible to me.

We live in an apt complex owned by a corp that owns a bunch of complexes. This week they had an offsite meeting where the staffs of all the owned complexes got together. There was a 'story time' segment where each location told a story about a tenant. Just a fun/good will segment.

For our complex, apparently my dog was the topic. The property manager talked about a tenant who came to visit twice a day and always brightened everyone's day. Then revealed that they were talking about Lola

If you run a Mastodon server, especially if it's small and only lightly moderated, I would STRONGLY suggest enabling 'Approval required for sign up'. It means that your server is MUCH less likely to become the next source of spam in this wave we're seeing.

I'm thinking I might have to put Palworld on the back burner for a while. I've completed the tutorial steps, and have made several bases, collected several Pals, and have reached level 18ish so I'm kind of without direction right now.

I want Pocketpair to fix the worst issues which have graduated from minor annoyance to ongoing headache for me, so I think it's a good idea to take a break and return when they've made some progress.

@scopique @belghast There are two types of Shroud zones.

Blue shroud: You can pass through, though you have a timer denoting how long you can resist the shroud influence before dying.

RED? Land in it, and you deplete resistance rapidly that it's like a NO-GO sign on steroids.

Improving the power of your flame (Collecting materials to offer/strengthen your flame altar and resistance) will eventually open up redshroud zones for exploration.

Much to do to get there though, not a rush thing.

@scopique @belghast You're welcome. I play solo because multiplayer worlds currently have shared quest progression, so you lose quests by joining someone's already established world if not playing at the same pace.

Separating the player character from the quest progression in the world is said to be a common request for the devs to implement.

@scopique @belghast I haven't seen screenshots, but based on what's being shared online on news/reddit.

If someone does multi-step Quest X and progresses it, everyone on the same server progresses that far in the quest too.

It's a little nutty, that.

@scopique @belghast As for bosses and items.

On my solo game, anything that's altered outside the influence of my flame altar is reset on a restart of the game. (chests can be relooted, and disheveled earth reset).

It makes some people inclined to park a spare flame altar (You can set up forward bases using flame altar positioning) near a legendary chest to farm it for loot.

Bosses also respawn I think, since regular mobs do too... Haven't checked if other stuff respawns on restart.

But they do like having a roof over their heads, so park them inside a shelter you've built on the land allotted by your flame altar (this is another upgrade path, expanding the influence and building radius of your altar.
