In Uzbekistan, for example, authorities are increasingly imprisoning people for “insulting the president online.” The criminal charge could get you 5 years in prison. It’s absurd.

@dwasmkuk Of course, we're aware of all this, as well as promises and lies to the previous Scottish referendum. However, if Scots or Northern Ireland had anykind of problem with London's Brexit, that's none of Europe's business ; and they could have try to leave the UK since then. Which is unlikely.

@MadameMollette On va quand même lui rappeler que même Jules Verne avait la gerbe devant la barbarie russe, et qu'il n'a écrit Michel Strogoff que parce que c'était une commande bien payée. D'ailleurs, Michel Strogoff n'est qu'un récit apocalyptique de la barbarie russe, ou le héros s'obstine dans une quête totalement inutile et trahi par les siens, dans un monde sans aucune humanité.

This is the first time I've seen this film since its release in 1998. It's also the first time I've seen The X-Files, the series that accompanied my teen years, since at least 2000.

It was great to see Mulder and Scully again, even if I couldn't remember much of the context 😄

@TheSpaceshipper Unfortunately, Carter shadowed too many arcs. A recurrent problem with series written on the fly, even the best ones. I think about BSG, too.
Some where not necessary, like focusing on the dead end filiation with the cigarette smoking man, unlike his sister kidnapping.

    Pour avoir déjà eu le Covid (qui m'a servi de 4eme dose), c'est moins agressif, moins "violent", moins "invasif", et ça ressemble plutôt à un gros rhume, mais qui ne passe pas.
    Mais c'est possible que ce soit un variant plus récent.
