I just came back from a friend's birthday; her husband is playing in a balkan jazz/rock band and they were playing all night long, that was fucking awesome. I missed Dvne (they were in Paris, and the price was ridiculously cheap) for her birthday and it was worth it, we (I was with my better half and my older kiddo) had lots of fun

Thanks to @thomas switch to Plex I remembered to check out the "Sonic Analysis" feature to run Artis-Based radio within Plex.

Listening to so much stuff I haven't listened to in years now thanks to that.

How could I not use this for so long? At least for work where I just need some music in the background it's so nice...

@Dad_Wood I've seen some disappointing concerts. I remember Lorna Shore being one of the worst - but not because of the band.

It was because the place was extremely crowded and I was literally busy with surviving and not getting squashed.

Also the acoustics were bad. Like most of the time in "Zenith München".

Nachdem der Bug in mehr oder weniger alles zerschossen hat, hab ich die letzte Woche angefangen alternativen auszuprobieren, insbesondere für meine digitale Musikbibliothek.

  • gonic (sehr performant, unterstützt aber keine embedded albumcover)
    -swingmx (Sehr schick und schnell, aber keine API für externe clients, wird aber evtl. bald implementiert)
    -ampache (unterstützt angeblich alles, aber sehr langsam)
    -airsonic-advanced (config-albtraum, langsam)
    ...

@platypus interessant! Viele von den Alternativen kannte ich noch nicht. Bisher habe ich Jellyfin genutzt. Jetzt sehe ich mir mal Plex genauer an. Allerdings sehe ich natürlich auch, dass das nicht unbedingt eine Option ist, wenn man auf der Suche nach FOSS ist ;)

Wie hat sich denn der Bug in Jellyfin geäußert?

It took me a few tries to get into the boot manager of the Minix Z100-0dB, but now Debian is installed.

And the first impression is great! Everything already feels very fast. Worlds better than with my Rock64 NAS. But I can only say more once I've run a few benchmarks and finished setting up my NAS.

Guten Morgen @thomas. Dass da gestern Abend/ heute Nacht was schief gelaufen sein muss, dürfte dir wohl bekannt sein. Der Formhalber will ich trotzdem melden, dass die Instanz jetzt (am 31.05. um 7:37h) nicht erreichbar ist. Drücke dir die Daumen, dass der Fehler schnell gefunden/ das Problem schnell behoben wird.

@Lioh unser Server hatte einige Stunden Downtime wegen Umbauarbeiten im RZ. Mittlerweile sollte aber wieder alles online sein.

Vielleicht brauchen die anderen Server noch etwas, bis sie Neuverbindungen mit trashserver.net versuchen.
