I have a life announcement! 📣

I’m going back to University! ( At 37! )

The program is self paced, online and all of my accessibility accommodations have been approved!

I’m excited to be able to take asynchronous courses in a supportive environment.

Day 1 is May 1st!
I’m studying Psychology & Philosophy.

I plan to attend Graduate School afterwards and become a Registered Psychologist in Alberta so I can do Autism assessments (and more), and provide a safe place for #LGBTQIA2S folks. 🏳️‍🌈

Woke up to a request from my long term disability company to fill out an incredibly invasive questionnaire and basically sign over my rights to personal privacy.

Canada needs to look at the overreach of these companies. They prey on the disabled.

I’ve been receiving benefits for 3+ years and I think this is my last straw. I’m not filling that out. I’ll lose half my monthly income.

I guess I’ll need help filling the gaps somehow… ugh.

Finished #Earthbound after many false starts in the past. There were a couple points where I felt like I needed to grind more than I would have liked but glad I finally finished it. I was surprised by the content after beating the final boss; great added touch.

Started playing #Earthbound again for like the... 3rd(?) time. I've never gotten very far (like not past second town) until now. This time I'm on the third town with the third party member.

Making use of the SNES Classic that I haven't played in a while. I probably should've started it on Switch but oh well.

Completed #Persona 4 Golden (a couple weeks back, forgot to post). Really enjoyed it and I can see why it's the favourite for some. The story and characters were pretty interesting and the mechanics were pretty solid.

In order I most liked 5R, 4G, 3P.

Finished 2 playthroughs of Persona 3 Portable on Switch. Played as both protagonists. Enjoyed it, though not as much as P5R - I liked the dungeons (and their puzzles) and the characters more in 5.

A little annoyed that I couldn't take on "the ultimate opponent" because I didn't get the Infinity Spells but oh well. Guess I'll take that on if/when I get Reload.

Two days after I finished my first playthrough, I hit new game plus and I now have 100% completed Persona 5 Royal.

Started playing Nov. 29 and Steam tells me I played ~224 hours altogether.

I am satisfied 😋

Finished Persona 5 Royal tonight. Loved it all the way through and got the true ending. I felt a bit emotional on the ending sequence too. 🥺

I'm now fighting back the urge to hit New Game Plus immediately to finish achievements and awards.

Finished that turning point in Persona 5 Royal tonight (~90 hours in). Wow wow wow. I did not see that working out like that, despite having inferred parts of it. Looking forward to continuing on next time I can play. I'm so invested.

During this time of year when we’re supposed to be celebrating (insert holiday), I can’t stop thinking about the fact that my nephew is going to soon be deployed overseas on his first tour with the U.S. Army in the current geopolitical climate.

I can’t.

I keep having flashbacks of how my friends from high school enlisted and deployed to go over to Iraq/Afghanistan (early 2000’s)

I’m feeling unsettled.

If I’m quiet, that’s why.

I had more medical tests and bloodwork done yesterday and things are (shocker) still abnormal.

I’ve been struggling with all that comes with #LongCovid since last summer. Yet I’m not much closer to understand when or if I’ll ever get better. I’m in a flare up.

In 3 days I’ve gone from “I think I’ll be ok, this won’t last long?” to mostly bed bound —- again. Whiplash, over and over.

Send pet photos or game recommendations pls. 💜

Completed #MossVR with the deathless run. The urge to get the 100% hit today so I went for it. Had to use a little save file restoring but that's mostly because I lost focus with a video playing in the background 😅

Looking forward to Book 2.
