I've heard its only about a 30% performance loss (max) to disable HT.
If doing so would let you disable some mitigations, it might be worth looking into.
@sirber@thelinuxcast Not to mention, any additional extensions, themes or other customization layered on top would have it even heavier.
As heavy as it is in RAM and CPU, it fits my workflow the best. There are times where I will jump between VS Code and PyCharm, but I prefer the former.
@sirber@johkra Hi! There's definitely something not right there, as the fonts are clearly not matching. Are you using the same version of LibreOffice on both platforms? Can you please let our QA community at https://bugs.documentfoundation.org know with a quick bug report, including the screenshot? Thanks 😊
@maxalmonte14@sirber It's honestly the most boring modern language. Java with less crappy syntax. There's some bits of it that are weird, but otherwise it's just kinda... Fine? Not exciting or interesting, just... Fine.
I started a prototype of a framework-less #php architecture, using #docker, on my playground. Separated public and private files, enabled autoloading using composer and PSR-4. It's fun! 😀
@sirber Pretty good overall, but does have a bit higher curve. If Laravel cribs from Ruby on Rails, Symfony is inspired by Java Spring Boot. When I want a major framework I usually go Symfony.
