#Jellyfin 10.9.4 is a mess. Images gone, skins mixed up (black text on dark grey), home buttons hidden behind hamburgers. Yeah!

This is pricey (and glass, really??), but I kind of love the idea: some benefits of a fitness tracker & smartphone for kids, w/o the smartphone. Plus a Tamagotchi!

My oldest kid is a bit young for something like this, but Internet access freaks me out—yet I’d love for them to be able to contact me if they need. Other options in this space are clunky/ugly, so it’s refreshing to see something this polished here.

"Teilnehmer:innen" statt "Teilnehmer*innen"

Für alle, denen das vielleicht nicht bewusst ist. Der Doppelpunkt hat keine Bedeutung, der Stern sehr wohl. Der Stern steht zB in der IT für eine Wildcardsuche *.doc sucht mir alle Worddokumente bis 2003 zusammen. Deswegen haben wir uns für das Sternchen entschieden. Uargh. Eben eine lange Teams-Sitzung mit nem Kollegen absolviert und gegen Ende - er teilte seinen Bildschirm - sehe ich auf seiner Firefox-Startseite Links zu Tichys Enblick und Reitschuster angepinnt. Besucht er wohl regelmäßig.
Da kam mir kurz die Galle hoch.
Leider war ich nicht wirklich überrascht. Hat früher schon öfter sowas durchblicken lassen und u.a. über schwierige Ausländer und überflüssiges Gendern "referiert".
Tja, wie damit umgehen?

Habe soeben glücklich ein Ticket bei Ticketmaster erworben (Dream Theater am 24. November in Amsterdam).
Was mich aber total ankotzt, ist die Tatsache, dass hier auch wieder #digitalzwang und #appzwang betrieben wird.
Ich kann das Ticket an dem Abend nur auf dem Smartphone vorzeigen; entweder im Browser in meinem Konto oder in separater Ticketmaster-App.
PDF-Download und Ausdruck ist nicht möglich.
Wozu soll das gut sein?

I'm a bit crazed already...

But: argh!! They're near my hometown when I'm far away on a family vacation.

Oh boy, there seems to be little #Bluetooth mess going on in camp #GrapheneOS .
Since an update a few days ago my #Pebble Time watch won't pair with my #Pixel 6 via #Gadgetbridge .
At first I thought it's me being stupid but it's actually a common problem.

TIL Jellyfin music player app Finamp is on a beta channel working on a big UI and UX overhaul.
The app is finally going to be a decent music player with better presentation, better navigation and useful context menus. I dig alot! 🥳

New Now playing overlay shows the current playing position and allows direct "hearting".
Artist view has changed. First a list of top songs, albums below sorted by year ascending.
Context menu on an album with useful actions for a music player. The old context menu doesn't work very well and is rather useless.

TIL gofundme.com as a donation platform acts rather inappropriate (IMHO, for a donation platform) when collecting donations.
Of course, as a platform they have to make a living. So with every donation they collect a fee of ca. 3% plus about 25 cents. That's all.
But when you donate you don't get this info. They rather tell you there service has a 0% platform fee (true) and ask for additional platform support (defaulting to 16% of your donation).

I think this has a lot of smell to it.

Am Ende spielen die lokalen Punkrocker #Broilers fünf Songs. Die Toten Hosen leider nicht, Campino wohl in Urlaub. Aber die anderen Bandmitglieder sind da halt so rumgelaufen.

Tomorrow night, next concert! Finally!
Extreme playing at the Live Music Hall, Cologne.
Pretty excited, though they're not my all time favourites; but still a great world-class band I wanted to see for a long time.
Also brings up memories of so many awesome concerts there: Skyclad/Subway to Sally, Iced Earth/Nevermore, Pennywise/Heideroosjes/Beatsteaks, Transatlantic, Porcupine Tree, Knorkator, Volbeat, etc...
