Ok. So. First post on Mastadon so bear with me…first time at #emfcamp , also first time camping with a 6 year old… I’ve read the info on the site, can anyone weigh in with random one-liner bits of advice? It may also be helpful other emf newbies?
Wondering about putting some sort of geospatial meetup on the #emfcamp schedule - just a time to meet in the lounge/bar and geek-out about geo. What do you think @Emily_S@ultrazool@Laura (I think I got the right Laura!) and anyone else geo I know going?
Would anyone be interested in participating in thermal photography?
I was thinking of taking photos and videos of people & infrastructure. That sort of thing.
@Edent I've only really got good comms with the people I'm camping with. There are a load of people who I know are going, but I only know from reading their blog/seeing their toots etc, but would love to say hi. You're in that group, fwiw - I've been a long-term reader of your blog!
🆕 blog! “The tooth, the whole tooth, and nothing but the tooth”
You know that ice-breaker game "Two Truths And A Lie"? When I'm forced into some mandatory office fun, I always say... I've sat in the seat of a space shuttle. I still have two of my baby teeth. I used to be a voice-over artist. Well, one of those truths is about to come crashing […]
@Edent If the actual data is there too in DICOM files then there are plenty of FOSS tools that will read that. I 3D printed bits of my spine from a CT scan!
🆕 blog! “Chapter 10 - The Men Who Stole The World”
Welcome to NaNoWriMo, where I - and thousands of other plucky souls - try to write a 50,000 word novel in a month. You are reading "Tales of the Algorithm". A compendium of near-future sci-fi stories. Each chapter is a stand-alone adventure set a few days from now. Everything you read is possible - there's […]
@Edent is there an issue with your blog RSS feed at the moment? The first few of these appeared in my RSS reader (and I really enjoyed them!) but the last few haven't
Does anyone know what's going on with the QGIS 3.34 downloads for MacOS? I just tried to download it, clicked 'Download QGIS 3.34' button on the page, and got QGIS 3.32 instead.
Have the Mac installers not been updated yet? If so, I think the text on the download button may have been updated a bit prematurely.
@underdarkGIS Thats fine, thanks. In the meantime, would it be possible for the button text on the website to be updated to say 3.32 not 3.34? I suspect it might confuse a number of people. I didn't actually realise it wasn't 3.34 until I tried looking for some of the new features and couldn't find them!
