@imyke I use sleep tape too. It forces you to breathe through your nose. If you snore it really helps. It is difficult for the first few nights. But then your brain works it out. +1 from me.

@robb I’m shocked by the pile on here. I also listen to @manton own podcast. I’ve always agreed with his balanced view of AI - and saw his tweet as part of the same balanced view. It’s as if OpenAI are the new bad guy and everyone is hating on it. I’m not on micro.blog but Manton is aware of the AI feelings and you can disable all those features if you don’t like them.

Trying to get away from buying heavily processed vegan meat substitutes and making more use of tofu.

My go to is pressing and thinly slicing firm tofu into strips, and marinading in dark soy sauce, maple syrup and whatever spicy sauce I have. I then air fry them for about 7 minutes.

@andycarolan mine is firm smoked tofu cubed, dried in a paper towel. Then in a freezer bag two teaspoons of cornflour, 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder, 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt. Then generous grinds of sea salt and pepper. Add the tofu and shake until all is coated.

Fry in a pan with coconut oil until brown and crispy. Chuck in a stir-fry or Pad Thai. Delicious.

Also works in a tagine.

Pages CMS looks a lot like what I was planning on making https://pagescms.org

Self-hosting it requires using CloudFlare which is the kind of lock-in I wanted to avoid with mine but it looks like a solid option.

Edit: it may not be tied to CloudFlare, need to read the docs some more

@robb just watched the intro video. It’s not tied to cloudflare. They also mention netlify and other hosts. Should work on GitHub with actions I would think.

@robb Do I have to host Pages CMS on Cloudflare Pages?

Not necessarily: Pages CMS is a single-page app with a handful of serverless functions to facilitate the OAuth dance with GitHub. You could easily run it on Netlify, Vercel, AWS, Render... You would just need to make these 3 functions work on your platform of choice: github.com/pages-cms/pages-cms/tree/main/functions/auth. With that being said, Cloudflare has a generous free tier which works great in this case.

I just got two tubs of homemade chilli from the freezer, and one felt heavier to me than the other.

Just to confirm, I weighed them both.

The one that felt heavier to me was 782.1g

The one that felt lighter to me was 781.4g

So, have I developed the ability to detect less than 1g difference in the weight of given objects of frozen foods? 🤔
