Trying to get away from buying heavily processed vegan meat substitutes and making more use of tofu.
My go to is pressing and thinly slicing firm tofu into strips, and marinading in dark soy sauce, maple syrup and whatever spicy sauce I have. I then air fry them for about 7 minutes.
@andycarolan mine is firm smoked tofu cubed, dried in a paper towel. Then in a freezer bag two teaspoons of cornflour, 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder, 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt. Then generous grinds of sea salt and pepper. Add the tofu and shake until all is coated.
Fry in a pan with coconut oil until brown and crispy. Chuck in a stir-fry or Pad Thai. Delicious.
