During the talks at @rustnl 2023 it was mentioned that one of the projects relies on Ploutos for packaging. Ploutos is a GitHub reusable workflow for packaging #Rust Cargo projects as DEB & RPM packages and Docker images. With #IETF117 approaching, time to update some existing work and propose new drafts.

Tim is working on updating RFC 8416 (SLURM) with support for ASPA in #RPKI (https://github.com/NLnetLabs/draft-sidrops-slurm-aspa). Philip continues his work on control options for #DNS client proxies (https://github.com/NLnetLabs/draft-homburg-dnsop-codc), and Willem contributes to DNS out-of-protocol signalling (https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-grubto-dnsop-dns-out-of-protocol-signalling/).

NLnet Labs co-founder Frances Brazier received a knighthood (“Ridder in de Orde van de Nederlandse Leeuw”) last Friday.

Frances has been a visionary in recognising the potential of IP-based networking. As a co-founder of NLnet @NGIZero, she played a crucial role in shaping the Dutch internet landscape.

Her commitment to an open and accessible internet continued with the creation of NLnet Labs, dedicated to research and development of open standards and software.

We’re pleased to announce the release of version 0.10.0 of “domain”, our crate for interacting with the . This release results from the first three months of increased focus on the library, with three full-time developers and a one-year commitment from @sovtechfund.

There is informational RFC 8427 for representing DNS messages in JSON, but we’d like to see if there is a more ergonomic way of representing such a format.
