Morning! Later today I’m giving a talk to a group of young musicians about the job of a sound engineer.

Finished re-configuring the patch bay now I've upgraded to a full 16 channels of AD/DA after been given an retired Lynx Aurora on long term loan. :pg:

Easy to see why I don't want to be in the house! Note the red blanket for George (the desk also gets covered when I'm working ITB so George can block site lines to the screen) .

My bank seems very overly risk averse to the point where it’s causing a lot of issues. This is my third debit card in as many months becausereasons. Any transaction above £500 get held up and I have to answer questions, to which I normally respond with my £500 is singularly funding North Korea’s entire nuclear weapons programme.

I wonder if the bank is insolvent? It makes me feel a lot better about always living in my overdraft. If they go bust I lose nothing. :nuke:

I've been asked to do an online meeting on Friday and this will involve screen sharing. I tend to avoid these things like the plague and have already told them I don't use Zoom or Teams.

Are there anythings I need to be wary of from a privacy point of view?

Argh stress. Mastercard have blocked the debit card for my current account for the 3rd time in as many months!

Once again, I can't get cash as it's an online bank, I can't meet subscription payments and I won't get a new card for at least a couple of days because they can't even be arsed to do a next day delivery.

We really are screwed when an entity has this much power over us. I have to borrow cash just so I can get through the next few days and some places don't take cash!!!!

I’m in need of a laptop carry bag. Sounds simple but I specifically want a decent quality shoulder bag that can fit a 2020 MBP, some headphones (sennheiser hd25). Power supply, two or 3 small tools and some electrical tape.

Are there any brands that might fit this criteria? Very much needs to fit those items and be hardwaring.

Found a couple but didn’t quite fit the headphones. I definitely don’t want something too big! :80spc:

Simplified the live rig, mostly due to lack of practice and finding a spring reverb plugin I like. There’s nothing software based that comes close to what the Ninja delay does.

Taking a gamble playing bass live but the parts are simple.
