Once again we have reached the time of year when we must constantly remind people that EI and CPP are not payroll taxes and do not represent government punishing employees and small businesses, contrary to what the greedy spin mongers at the CFIB would like us all to believe.

It would be helpful to their constituency if the CFIB would realize that the economic stability of the labour force is, in fact, good for small businesses.

    Never mind that their "investigation" in this case was so weak as to not even notice that Nature United and the Nature Conservancy of Canada are the same organization.

    Sorry Pierre, but human rights are in fact the jurisdiction of the Federal government when Provincial leaders actively attack and fail to protect them.

    Citing "parental rights over the rights of a child" with your "let parents raise kids" comment is not a good look.

    Children are humans. They are not property. They are not possessions. They have their own rights.

    Being too young to drive, vote, drink, marry, etc. does not exclude them from basic human rights.

    Uhmmmm... He's telling the PM to "butt out" while he's taking a stance on the issue himself? That would seem hypocritical, which is admittedly, very much on-brand.

    On his actual point about jurisdictions... it might be noted that he and his friend Ford both recently weighed in on a mayoral election.

    It's a good reminder that, for Pierre, ethical standards only need apply when you disagree with him.
