The Sun tossed 5 Corona Mass Ejections at Earth yesterday. They are expected to arrive this evening through Sunday.

There is a G4 Geomagnetic Storm warning. That’s the highest it goes. A similar storm in 2003 knocked out power in Sweden and caused over 1/2 of Low Earth Orbit satellites to temporarily shut down.

I’m reading that it might be a good idea to have printed directions for trips to locations where you don’t know the route, in case of GPS problems. Through Monday.

@GottaLaff my church has a well. NJ just changed the standard for PFAS and because we have a nursery school, we failed by 0.001 parts per billion. We’ve had to spend thousands of dollars we don’t have to switch to the local water utility. The school is doing a fundraiser and the church is holding a rummage sale.

This is a plastic-based chemical. The water utility has to mitigate it too.
