Als die Glühbirne abgeschafft wurde, ging das Licht nicht aus. Als der Plastikstrohhalm abgeschafft wurde, ging die Welt nicht unter. Als Raucher vor die Gaststätte mussten, sind die Gäste trotzdem geblieben. Wenn der Verbrenner endlich Geschichte ist, wird die Luft viel besser riechen und ein weiteres mal bewiesen worden sein, dass konservative Panikmache nur heiße Luft ist.
@ankrjoe@bikolinux An diesem Punkt reicht gar nichts mehr. Heißt aber nicht, dass wir nicht dennoch unser bestes tun sollten um den worst case so weit wie möglich herauszuzögern.
Oh this sounds like #Firefox will become a real browser for me soon. I wish they were ready already for the #ManifestV3 thing. But I guess it's good to know they're on it.
@Sirs0ri I use these pretty heavily and this was one of the reasons I switched back when I tried Firefox again a few months ago.
In terms of dev tools I have to sit before them I guess. I just couldn't work with it properly as things were missing I needed. Maybe things have changed here too.
@royalrex@Sirs0ri I wouldn't be too surprised if it mainly a habit thing. And some thing are probably there but with another name oder on a weird place.
For example: I have no idea how to open this search panel to for example quickly disable JavaScript temporarily (or do a myriad of other things). And search engines aren’t really helpful these days.
I know there's a setting in the general crowded setting section. But that's pretty slow every time. ^^"
@royalrex@Sirs0ri That's one of my problems with Firefox. You need AddOns for so many things that should be standard. But because the market share is so low they're barely maintained. 😅

»Nach drei Jahren stelle ich fest, dass er geradezu autistische Züge hat, sowohl was seine sozialen Kontakte in die Politik betrifft als auch sein Unvermögen, den Bürgern sein Handeln zu erklären.«
Es ist so viel Unwissen und klarer Ableismus in diesen Worten. Es ist unfassbar.
@leitmedium Mich macht ein bisschen fertig, dass das gar nicht eingeordnet wird. Autismus wird hier die ganze Zeit von allen Parteien als negativ dargestellt. What the fuck!?

I guess this is a bit less of a problem as we have dialog these days that counter that. But not every legacy app has the option to convert all modals from fixed positioning to dialog.
It's just a weird side effect that doesn't really makes sense for me.
