In April, the company was told to censor its app, so Russians can no longer see ANY reference to the existence of #LGBT persons, and instead of ending its business in Russia, the company chose to help the dystopian regime and comply, writes Latvian-based newsmedia Meduza.

Sometimes the biggest web properties in the world make decisions with a completely different set of priorities, goals, budget (etc.) and those decisions wouldn’t make sense to apply to your project (with your own goals, team, and tech stack).

Their best practices are not your best practices!

I'd like to remind all Mastodon users that you can add a language filter to any follow relationship on Mastodon.

If you follow me and you don't speak German, you can easily remove my German posts from your timeline by adjusting the language settings.

Go to my profile page, select the dot menu and click "Change subscribed languages". Then select the languages that you speak.

This really is a hidden gem 💎 on Mastodon and not many people seem to know this feature :awesome:

No hate, but honestly, why not just switch to Unix or Linux? I absolutely understand that many use Windows 11 for gaming, but with all this bloat, I would only start Windows 11 for gaming and nothing else.

I can only speak for myself, but since 2020, I have not been using Windows privately, and I have to say, I don't miss it (okay, except for gaming maybe - Which can now also be done very well on Linux).

Egal wie gut der Inhalt ist. Wenn er nicht inklusiv für alle bereitgestellt wird, ist es nichts wert. Nicht bei so einem kleinen Aufwand.
