@ScienceDesk Our B&B is in the path (3 minutes 15 seconds of totality). We are hosting an event for our guests with multiple telescopes, eclipse glasses, and a BBQ lunch after totality.

@zappes @GreenSkyOverMe @SmudgeTheInsultCat Not so much genetics but rather our knowledge of the molecular biology of the gene has changed substantially since I was in college in the late seventies. I was helping someone study for their exam recently and there are multiple components and steps in the process that we did not even know about in 1980.

I am an #Innkeeper at a Bed and Breakfast in the greater #AustinTX area and a retired #SystemsEngineer.

A long time ago, I taught myself #C and then later, #HTML, #CSS, and #Python. Now, I am trying to learn #Rust.

@hankg My wife and I had always wanted to run a B&B as our retirement jobs and we really enjoy the work. I was able to ease into the transition by helping my wife as needed while continuing to remotely work my day job. Once the B&B was established, I was able to quit my day job and focus full time on the B&B.
