Is there a name for the phenomenon where the general public won't stop mentioning a solution that they /imagine/ will be standard one day without knowing the details behind it?

That's a word salad but like, "plug type won't matter once wireless charging becomes the norm" is, uh, a sentiment few people who know much about electricity transmission and electric vehicles will agree with, yet it's repeated ad nauseum.

I don't know the exact costs of charging but I assume contactless could be used in a lot of cases. Just tap to start charging, can't get much simpler than that.

I've given up trying to figure out what slows down video renders.

Today, Media Encoder is struggling most with... still .pngs.

Blasting through 4K h.264 footage no problem, about twice real-time in fact, but a motionless graph? Yeah that's gonna go at about 5 FPS today.

@TechConnectify I think PNG may not be hardware accelerated? h264 is offloaded to the GPU's video decoder, as are most video formats.
