For folks who have not been to conferences for their chosen profession (PHP ones in my case), for me one of the things that helps cushion the feelings of missing out is seeing pictures of your friends hanging out and having a good time. None of them would be your friend without conferences. That’s why I sponsored the dinner for the speakers at #LonghornPHP — friends help friends become better friends. Just got one of those scam calls telling me that I’m facing legal trouble because someone has been shipping drugs in my name. They tried to get me to confirm my address by reading off a bunch of addresses, so they’re clearly trying to gain access to something. When I answered “no” to each address, they reminded me that I can be arrested for giving false information.
