Anyone else ever play a single player game and worry that you're not playing it right? Like, you're progressing well through the game, but somehow you feel like the designers would be disappointed in how you're doing everything? I feel like that with Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker

Killed the Four Kings on my third attempt. Went full heavy with the armour set and just tanked through the damage.

Decided to start a replay of Tomb Raider. Crazy to think the rebooted version is already 11 years old.

When I played this the first time around, I thought this scene looked incredible! And although some of the graphics in this game still stand up well today, it’s definitely showing its age!

Dickhead next door is smoking at her little table again now that the weather has improved.

Her little table is about 5 feet from where I'm sitting in my living room, and directly below my daughter's bedroom.

So despite no-one in my household smoking, we get to enjoy 4-5 months of everything smelling like cigarettes.

Going forward I think I'm going to have to ditch my #Videogame podcasts that don't feature at least one host with a kid.

Listening to twenty-somethings that have almost unlimited time and basically no responsibilities is just too unrepresentative of my own experience with life that I really struggle to relate or even enjoy their output.

I've really been enjoying the @crossplayblog podcast called #SpawnPoint, but I refuse to believe that's it for Gaming Parents?

I've learned to love the wireless life, but I still wish I could just pop some wired earphones in for simplicity sake.

No battery low, no randomly disconnecting Bluetooth. Simplier times. Also very nice that your boss lets you use them. Being able to listen to music and podcasts is literally the only thing I miss about working overnight.

I'd argue that the 'Verified' system was already a bit of a mess.

It should mean that the game runs, and runs to a pretty solid level on Deck.

It doesn't mean that at all. It's an absolutely horrible way to work out if your can play a game and at this point I've stopped using it as a guide. ProtomDB or @steamdeckhq for me.

@EighthLayer @UKFilmNerd my brother's wedding last year was alright. We got these absolutely huge bread rolls and a bucket load of beef and chips and sauces.

Simple but effective. I ate too much and then didn't want to run around after the kids anymore....but it was worth it.

This is like the first time in my 17/18 years of fandom that I won't be able to watch an #AllCaps playoff game and as much as the team sucks ass, that does make me sad.

The series itself? I still think the boys can win a game or two. Let's be honest here though, trying to beat this NY team was always going to be an uphill struggle.

This teams playoff run was just getting into the playoffs in the first place; that was the fun bit.

It's barely 7am and I've already spent two hours parenting before a full ten hour shift at work. In short, it's been rough.

To make it worse. My kids just put on the latest episode of .

I am not emotionally or physically able to handle this emotional abuse before work, but alas, here we are. Thoughts and Prayers please. It's gonna get messy. And that's before I even start at work.

Not that I'm counting the days or anything but in exactly one year my 2 year old will be eligible for the 30 funded hours of childcare.

Like his big sister I'm hoping to send him to the local primary schools attached Nursery. She loved it. Hopefully he will too. Fingers crossed.

365 days. I can almost see the freedom.

@EighthLayer We've not spent a penny on childcare yet, because we just can't afford it.

It does mean however that 7/7 days one of us is working all day so we never get to share the load or even spend time together as a family.

When he's at nursery 4/5 days we'll be able to work at the same time, and thus actually get weekends together. Finally.

I got an email saying someone had tried to log into my LinkedIn account. So I changed my password despite having 2FA enabled just to be on the safe side.

Young people; get involved, get engaged. Our politics is dictated by the aged. If we want a better deal for young people then we need to get young people voting. Strike fear into the hearts of politicians who think you don't give a shit because you don't appear to give a shit. Go and fucking vote.

@EighthLayer my daughter dropped my caseless Galaxy S10 on the kitchen floor when she was a toddler. The glass back was utterly fucked. I've not risked it since.
