Created a Docusaurus site tonight and it looks pretty good, with minimal effort. The scaffoloding for a starter project got in the way a bit. I may try MkDocs tomorrow (er, later this morning)

Just watched the first episode of “Masters of the Universe: Revolution” on Netflix. Y’all realize this was a cartoon created solely to sell toy figurines to latchkey kids in the 80s, right? The characters are named things like Fisto and Buzz Off. Why so dark and dramatic?

As part of my husbandly duties, I am being asked to attend a pool party this afternoon with a bunch of people I do not know.

I will not be pooling. Small talk will be awkward. My vampirishly pale skin is already immolating just at the thought of being in the sun that long.

I have prayed and sacrificed to all known deities for rain or other calamity to no avail. Curses.

A pug (dog) has been placed in a tiny innertube in a pool. He is wearing a black and white striped bow tie for some reason. He is not amused.

I made it through the party. Here's a few things to note:

  1. Don't introduce the gay couples to each other as if all gays have everything in common and will immediately hit it off, because, gay.

They are twinks that just finished a pride parade and are ready to go out on the town. We are a war torn old married couple ready for bed at 10 PM.

  1. I've recently lost a lot of weight, enough so that some old friends don't recognize me immediately. Here are things not to say or do:
  • "Oh shit! You used to be so FAT! Wow you look so much better!"
  • "How did you lose all that weight?" (Me: A combo of cancer and meds)

  1. I don't drink and I'm very calm and smile alot. I'm gay. Drunk women get a bit confused that I'm not matching their level or spewing rainbows and say things like "I just love your whole vibe, you just like, don't give a crap what anyone thinks! We need you in our group to balance us out." (The crazy? I'm not balancing out crazy, but thanks.)

@CodenameTim I hung out with the straight husbands by the grill which was shaded. Sweaty and hot, but not burned! I also learned how to grill corn with the shuck attached as a handle to turn it.

I've been playing it loosey goosey with backups on my lately. Durnik, my original Portainer workhorse, gets all the love and has very specific backup routines per application hosted.

My new ProxMox powerhouse, Belgarath, is going the lazy admin route - I just backup the the entire server as an image daily. Thinking it's time to revisit and setup similar per VM / app backups.

@kiraso Haven't yet! I'm using ProxMox to backup the server daily but not PBS. I saw it as needing to take over an entire hardware device so that's why I haven't moved on it. Need to do some consolidation of my portainer instances and then I'll have a free device to configure as a backup solution.

Controversial discussion. Thinking it’s time to switch from #DogsOfMastodon #DogsOfPixelfed to something more generic.

Maybe #DogsOfFedi or #DogsOfSocialWeb as reach begins expanding beyond the known fediverse.

@mikedev Only issue there is what when you use #DogsOfMastodon you're normally looking for owner's photos and videos of their dogs. #Dogs returns additional things like pet adoption, news articles, text only posts. Maybe I'm wrong about that, but it's how I use that tag.

With Mastodon you can do a V2 search of "#Dogs -is:sensitive has:image" to the same effect but...not many are gonna do that. Does streams have a way to filter a feed like that?
