    @0x00string In Georgia, normal weed isn't legal, but a bunch of other things are. So we have CBD stores that sell all the fun stuff. The stores come in two versions. The first have neon, wavey signs, LED signs that blink... basically it's a whole store that's like that shadey corner of the convenience store in the bad part of town.

    Then there are the CBD stores that have found their zen. They remind me of new age book stores and usually have some overlap. Get Delta-8 and healing crystals.

    It's a very different experience.

    Hey everyone. I'd like to have a conversation about ego and career status. I'm 30 years into my #infosec career. When I started at my current employer about 6 years ago, I climbed down the ladder on purpose. I took a position with less stress and a better life/work balance. I was then promoted to a position running cyber engineering and I LOVED it. Then we went through a merger and my position didn't really exist anymore. I've been through three reorgs and keep getting the short end of the stick. This last re-org, my old position reappeared, but I didn't even get the chance to apply for it.

    So here I am, employed at a company that takes security seriously, I love the people I work with, and I have a great work/life balance. YET... I'm unhappy. And the only reason I'm unhappy is that I think I should be higher up the ladder than I should be.

    I'd love to hear your thoughts. Am I letting my ego poison a good thing? Should I be happy with what I have? Or should I look at making a move? I could easily make a parallel move inside the company to a new position. I also know lots of folks in the industry and feel comfortable that I could land my dream position sometime this year.

    @avuko I have a very neurodiverse family. My two stepsons are autistic. One of them has tourette's and bipolar. Me and my biokids have severe . We all have lots of sleep issues. Thus, we have taking for a couple of decades. My boy with has the hardest time with sleep. His neurologist told us to not be shy with the melatonin. We've found a level that's right for him, and he takes it about 2 hours before bedtime. The other kids take a smaller dose about 30 minutes around bedtime.

    Also, we found spray melatonin more effective than pills. Here's the brand we use:

    I was thinking of writing a talk for 2024 addressing #neurodiversity in #infosec. I don't think it's accidental that we have a high percentage of #nerodiverse people in our industry. I'll get some figures and stuff for the talk, but what would you like to hear at such a talk?

    You know what? I want an AI that recognizes the buttons of a coat and turns up the make and model so I can buy a replacement if I lose one.

    Just received Anker Soundcore's AeroFit as my bed-time earphones. Impressions so far:

    • The most annoying thing for sleeping with earphones is miss-operations while turning around my body on the bed. This product lets me turn off the sensor on the app so this is a big advantage.
    • I'd like to listen to sounds from multiple devices, so multi-point support is a must. By using the app, you can turn on/off the device you want to listen up to 2 but can register even more. This is huge.https://us.soundcore.com/pages/aerofit-pro

    Let's see how they fit my ears while sleeping. That's the biggest question.
