Just met with an advisor at school…

I only have to take one more class to graduate! Looks like I’l get my associate degree by the end of the summer if everything moves apace.

I was under the impression that I had to take one elective and one phys ed course (yes, really), but this extremely kind advisor finessed the system in my favor. Apparently there is a way to waive 0.5 phys ed credits at a time based on past enrollment. I still needed 0.5 more, but she got the school to waive that too.

🚨THREAD ALERT🚨

Ahoy! Tonight I’ll be boarding my parents’ Dana 24 sailboat for a trip at sea.

We’re casting off from Haverstraw, NY, which is roughly 25 miles upriver from the northern tip of Manhattan. Our trip will take us down the Hudson River, around the lower end of Manhattan, up the East River, and out to the Long Island Sound. At that point, my goal is New London, CT where I’ll catch an Amtrak back to NYC. My parents plan to continue on to Block Island after that.

Jenny seems to hate everything I like about the fit. I was reving out up a hill and she’s freaking out over going too fast. We were doing 25 in a 30. She thinks small bumps feel like speed bumps in the car even though I think it’s just that it’s loud.

She’s asking me “are you enjoying this?” The answer is always yes. I really do love the car.

In the miata. Miata suspention with the bilstiens is a really good mix of comfort and weekend racer. I think I have another 10-15 clicks out of 30 that I can soften it up.

Throttle house says the new ND3 is barely different than the ND2. It seems like the best new update is when you turn off lane departure warning it also defeats the orange light in the dash making it the greatest car ever made without a V12.

@Dylan That's how I feel. When the ND2 came out it was a little painful. I could probably get a new one, and the trim you have that's a combination of GT and club, but I've had so many memories with this car. I installed a bunch of aftermarket stuff and the car feels perfect now. I've never had a car longer than 3 years but I've i'm now having my seventh miata season. I can't quit this car.

@wheeljack look, they can only afford to make it if they can sell a lot of cars. This will probably share a platform with the upcoming EV Cadillac “Touring Sedans”. If they do a coupe like sedan and it sells volume they can make a coupe body style. Maybe dodge can split the difference between an EV muscle car and an EV SUV and sell an EV Magnum.

Wow! EQS depreciation is unreal. More than 50% depreciation in 11k miles. Bone stock these are $104k.

This is key. The EQS is over 6,000 pounds and qualifies for a 179 business deduction while the s class does not.
It could be a smart money move max valuing the business tax credit for the purchase price for a business vehicle and then getting have super low energy and maintenance costs (compared to an S class).
This also means there may be a steady stream of these used from execs buying these as corporate vehicles to avoid taxes.

Jayden and I took an introductory dance class today. We learned the basics of several different steps and it was tough! I don’t have two left feet, but I have a lot to learn. It’s looking like we’re going to buy a handful of classes.

@Dylan partners dancing is great. My grandfather was a legendary dancer. When I meet my grandparents living friends they talk about what a great dancer he was. If you’re a man who can do partners dancing you can meet a lot of women for the rest of your life.
There’s still clubs in Manhattan where they play big band music and have dancing. I was at a show and Mel brooks was in attendance and they played a dancy version of springtime for hitler.

People think political betting is about predicting the future, that’s some of it, but a lot of it is dumb shit like this. A complicated series of bets that allows you to nearly double your money on a 3-4 month position on something that’s pretty close to a sure thing.
