I've been working on a massively expanded (+35k) Vic 20 game since Christmas and it's finally complete. All tested which was a massive undertaking as there are many, many locations to visit and revisit, items to collect, upgrades and challenges. The game is completable and even has several endings!

I have fixed an annoying flicker I was getting on the baddies in the dungeons on NTSC (60Hz). I didn't get it on PAL (50Hz) because there is more processor time between each frame to update things and redraw the screen ready for the next refresh, However, NTSC was being pushed too hard to complete everything in the dungeon area in time, the key factor is the dungeons lighting effect was taking up precious time.

Found in a charity shop. Retro book (2019) I've not heard of before. Suitably techy and gamesy so couldn't say no. Also a book on writing strategy games for dirextx9 and one on how to write your own lisp. Oh, and also the 1971 Eagle annual, mostly for the Dan Dare.

My screen cleaner. Works reasonably well, but don't want to get it too dirty with screen gunk so it just lives in my pocket and goes on little adventures.
