So here's how it's going:

We got all the furniture into the POD and now have to pack what's remaining in the kitchen. So things are a little messy

Our twins are down from Canada helping, & their dear friend is here for the night from San Diego, to see them. We adore her. But it's a little chaotic

At 4:30 am we get a text--coincidentally we're awake--from our pal/realtor! We'd missed her earlier text, we have a showing today at 12:30. Oy. & why was SHE up?

So, with that, I shall collapse, but not before posting another dopey gif.

POD #2 for our furniture comes tomorrow, as do my twins, down from BC to help us! We leave in 5 days!

@GottaLaff I keep having this niggling feeling in the back of my brain - what do these MAGATs know or think they know about November, and beyond? What keeps them doubling down on the rhetoric and actions that clearly, proven in vote after vote - get voted down. Relentlessly.

Just wearing us down? Do they "know" something we don't know, or that we can't fathom - of the violent bullshit they are going to unleash in November, or January?

It makes no sense to me. And yet..here they are...

@GottaLaff I know you have had expert help. What have been the largest obstacles in your own experience, even with that assistance, and what might you think the obstacles would be for someone of more modest means, trying to do this “on their own”?

@GottaLaff This may or may not apply to you, but it took us a year to sell a property (it was a difficult market time). Don’t be afraid to change realtors. A place gets stale with a realtor - can’t be helped. Over time, other properties are more “in mind”.

For us, 1st realtor - renewed term twice. 2nd - twice. Third - sold within a month. Can’t deny market condition changes may have helped/hurt - but my point is, changing “horses” may help freshen the effort.

Ever have days when you have so much going on that your insides are on perma-rev-up and you can't slow it down?

Today is that day. We finished spackling/painting all the spots where artwork was hanging, we've dusted, vacuumed, and prepped the house. Our painters were unavailable, so it was us.

By the time the showing and trial are over today, I'll need to unwind. Lucky for me, Hammy needs walking at just the right time. That always does it.

Even here in our little old Missouri Capital City - an article in the paper today cites a PAC as wildly left wing, quote "they use leftist buzzwords like 'transparency' and 'democracy'." This from our county's Republican Committee "voice".
