Separated bike lanes, lovely landscaping, bike share, abundant bike parking, and more! Looking good, Emeryville! 😍 Apparently a lot more is in the works, too!

In December of 2021, the City of Alameda adopted the Signalized Intersection Access Equity Resolution. It aims to improve the safety and convenience of walking, biking, and taking transit. You’re seeing it in action at intersections like Ralph Appezzato Memorial Parkway and Poggi, shown here before construction, and in its transition today. Where once there were pedestrian barriers, a crosswalk and ADA improvements are being installed.

The freshly paved Bay Trail just west of the wooden bridge is dreamy! So much more comfortable, plus you can look up from the trail and enjoy the view now ;-)

Many Alamedans have taken advantage of Alameda Power and Telecom’s E-bike Rebate program, and there’s only a little more funding left, so if you are interested, you should apply soon.

Details about the program are explained in this helpful brochure that our volunteer, Natasha Gallatin, pulled together.

Here’s the direct link to AMP’s rebate page if you want to jump right to it: https://www.alamedamp.com/407/Rebates-and-Incentives
