Is Microsoft's new feature a privacy nightmare?

Microsoft recently announced ‘Recall’, a feature that lets Windows users to search for content across time on their PCs.

According to Microsoft, Recall takes screenshots every five seconds, which are then stored locally.

However, it's unclear if these will be used for model training, cloud backups, or online analysis.

Another rant because nothing ever works and the community keeps disappointing me.

Why in the world does everyone say works so good it's "the most reliable KDE distro ever, been using it for 48723698 years!" when in the FIRST day everything keeps breaking? I've been losing the whole day trying to fix KDE Neon, NOTHING works! I just want to play my games... :(

Genuinely thinking to go back to Windows after 7ish years of daily driving Linux... I've been getting disappointed more and more. I hoped for Linux to improve with reliability, but it never did. It just keeps breaking.

All this "high customisability" comes at a cost, clearly.

I swear, #Linux is the only OS where i have to set my cursor settings three times, at least. ( Qt, GTK, Flatpak )

I don't want to go back on #Kubuntu because snapd keeps coming back like a virus. But at this point seems like i don't have choice... Maybe #OpenSUSE will work idk... Prolly not...

@fraying I wish we could use crypto, so to not rely on private owned banks that control the economy. But so far most cryptos are scams or unreliable.

The worst thing about AI is companies putting they dumb “morals” in them. Try to ask ChatGPT for a sex story and they’ll tell you “I can’t generate inappropriate content”. Mate fuck off sex is not inappropriate.

(Any AIs out there that don’t do this? Maybe self hosted too?)

@luana I'm aware of that. But i can see people goin insane over AI talkin about lewd things to minors, just for the sake of talkin poop about AI.
