Old internet:

Amazon is a one stop place to get quality stuff.
Twitter is conversations with people and the best place to get breaking news.
Google gets me exactly what I’m looking for.
Reddit has the answer to an obscure issue I’m running into.
Facebook is an easy way to keep up with friends.

Todays internet:

Amazon is gamed by sellers hawking sub par crap. It just wants my data.
Twitter is all right wing nuts. It just wants my data.
Google links to SEO crap. It just wants my data.
Reddit admits I’m a “data set”. It just wants my data.
Facebook is where misinformation goes to flourish. It just wants my data.

@driph Question: I just did my first EA DCFC. When I unplugged, I noticed my CCS pins had one pin without a black cap (on the left) and the right side has the black cap on the pin. Is this right? Does it matter? I’m obviously new at this and since you have the identical car, I figured I’d ask.

Trying to get ActivityPub to work properly for my #Wordpress website, but it’s simply not showing up here on the ‘don. No clue why as everything looks good on WP’s end. Purging caches, waiting a bit, even making a test post all = nothing. Can’t even pull up the profile. Dunno.

To say I’m disappointed in Automattic is an understatement. We’ve trusted them for over a decade to be open, flexible, honest, and safe for writing / hosting stuff on the internet.

And now they’ve betrayed that trust… for money, of course. If #Enshitification can come for Wordpress, truly no company can be trusted.

TIL Amazon allows you to tip your driver $5 for FREE. I just did it and it’s legit.
Search “Tip My Driver” on Amazon and click the yellow button. Your driver will get a $5 tip and it costs you nothing. If you have an Echo, you can apparently ask Alexa to do the same.
