Many young trans people are rightly concerned about the effect of the decision by NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde to pause puberty blockers on their healthcare journey.
This afternoon the Minister for Public Health, Jenni Minto, laid out the work that the Scottish Government is doing to resolve the situation and to respond to the recent Cass report.
"The Seattle hospital said in a statement that it had 'successfully fought' the 'overreaching demands to obtain confidential patient information.' A judge in Austin dismissed the lawsuit Friday, saying the parties had settled their dispute."
Bobbie Lea Bennett campaigned for access to transition related surgery in the US to be covered by Medicare. Her campaign forced Medicare officials to recognize transition related surgeries as essential. Bobbie was also a disability rights campaigner.

Should it be backed by 25 other MSPs, it will lead to a vote on whether MSPs have confidence in the Minister...
[Ash] Regan says she has called for the vote in Harvie after he “sided with ideology over evidence after NHS clinicians paused puberty blockers at Sandyford, in line with the Cass review”.

Grateful CBC highlighting horrendous bias applied by the UK Cass Review's attack on care for trans youth.
Points out type of study supposedly missing, "randomized controlled trials", often aren't ethical for pediatric care.
One doc: "That would be kind of like saying for a pregnant woman, since we lacked randomized clinical trials for the care of people in pregnancy, we're not going to provide care for you.… It's completely unethical."
Surprisingly, CBC's article on the Cass Review is well-reported, talking about what "high quality" research means and why it might not be feasible in a treatment situation. Kudos to journalist Lisa Johnson on not sensationalising this fraught topic. https://www.cbc.ca/news/health/puberty-blockers-review-1.7172920
"If I were to give advice it would be that whatever you are doing or whatever you are going through , you gotta enjoy the little things in life. Enjoy and cherish those moments." Ruby
“The terms of reference stated that the #CassReview ‘deliberately does not contain subject matter experts or people with lived experience of gender services’ and Dr Cass herself was explicitly selected as a senior clinician ‘with no prior involvement … in this area’.
“Essentially, ignorance of gender dysphoria medicine was framed as a virtue.”
No wonder TERFs like Cherry have piled in praising the Cass Review.
