Feierabendrunde heute über 2 #Hegauberge, den #Hohenstoffeln und #Hohenhewen mit zwei der besten und längsten Trails vor der Haustür.

Mit den Kilometerleistungen und Durchschnittsgeschwindigkeiten von vielen hier kann ich auf so Touren - sehr steil auf den Vulkankegel hoch und auf technisch anspruchsvollem Trail runter - nicht konkurrieren 🤣

Leider habe ich vergessen, unterwegs ein Foto zu machen.

Long bike and hike today, but so beautiful with all the green, wildflowers (white lilies everywhere!), blue skies, and wide open spaces. 🌳🌻🌾

All along the hike today were hillsides covered in blooming Mariposa lilies, which have three large, white petals that form a cup at the top of the stem and which points toward the sky. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many blooming at the same time.
Toward the top of the trail, a scenic view of the rocky foothills to the west (right) and the flat plains in the distance to the east (top left). Rolling hills in between with green meadows, wildflowers, and pine trees. Blue skies and sunshine this morning.
On the way back down the trail, looking back toward the rocky Flatirons through a small canyon with upward slopes on either side covered in grasses and wildflowers, and dotted with shrubs and pine trees. Nothing but blue sky above the rocky hills in the distance.

About 15 minutes of heavy storm at thursday morning were enough to become a woodcreeper when cycling through the woods.

So I had to integrate a whole-body workout in my bike tour today.
