Cool - that got sorted quickly! Perhaps an issue at Google because the only thing I did was press the button to say it was fixed for them to validate the issue. I did nothing to the site.

All sorts of nonsense going on with a site over the past week. Have a news story on a page that Google Search console is telling me is invalid AMP - tested it on https://validator.ampproject.org/and the code is valid. There are hundreds of posts on this site and has never happened before and the 4 posts following it are ok.
Then three news posts later Google decides to not index a new post because it disagrees with the canonical and chooses a post from 2018! They are completely different!
@pch Think I will just turn AMP off for this site anyway. Not really done anything for the site visibility and traffic wise, very few amp url visits and it's a waste of planet energy.
Now the canonical issue I will waste a bit of time on though!
Excitement at #brightonseo as I walk into the venue this morning and get scanned by the girls they say “oh another Simon Cox”.
This is bad news for me as I can’t get into the serps top 10 with my name anymore as there are more famous me’s out there now. If one of them is easing into my #seo territory there may be a scuffle.
One out of maybe 12 that I had to report … it does not reflect well on the #SEO industry and #Semrush. It does reflect very well on Medium, which took down misinformation posts very quickly.
#AI#GenerativeAI#SEO#Reddit#Google#Search#SearchEngines: "For years, people who have found Google search frustrating have been adding “Reddit” to the end of their search queries. This practice is so common that Google even acknowledged the phenomenon in a post announcing that it will be scraping Reddit posts to train its AI. And so, naturally, there are now services that will poison Reddit threads with AI-generated posts designed to promote products.
A service called ReplyGuy advertises itself as “the AI that plugs your product on Reddit” and which automatically “mentions your product in conversations naturally.” Examples on the site show two different Redditors being controlled by AI posting plugs for a text-to-voice product called “AnySpeech” and a bot writing a long comment about a debt consolidation program called Debt Freedom Now." https://www.404media.co/ai-is-poisoning-reddit-to-promote-products-and-game-google-with-parasite-seo/

Suppose I have a home page and its content is nothing but different blocks (image + text) that link to internal pages. Does that count as a navigation and I have to use the <nav> element or It counts as the main content and a simple <ul> listing is enough?

I checked my Google Search Console for Cybercultural, to see what (if any) progress I'm making on organic search. I was surprised to see that I had one (as in a single) page that got on Google Discover, which can be a good source of traffic. It is: https://cybercultural.com/p/marc-andreessen-2004/. I have no idea why that particular page got on Google Discover, and why none of my other pages did...perhaps Marc Andreessen is a "pull" on Google Discover? Maybe it got put into a Discover stream for crypto dudes? #SEO
