Happy #Monday to everyone who looked at their phone this morning to discover that today, not tomorrow, is the day their kid's puppy was being neutered and they had 25 minutes to wake said kid, walk--but not feed--said #puppy, and get across town to the public spay/neuter clinic or else pay 4x as much to go through a private vet.

Today in the adventures of Mandy, I was outside with her while she was in her pen. She was drinking water, or so I thought, for at least half a minute.
Turns out she decided to use her water dish as a small pool. When I picked her up, her face, front paws and chest were absolutely soaked, and the bowl was empty. We had a Collie pup (5 months old) staying with us for the weekend. Generally veery biddable and house trained, but she got bored! Our dug refuses to say whether he encouraged her to desist or cheered her on….

Ajax is going on 12 years old and seemingly very healthy and can still clear a chain link fence when deer walk by. He's in the banner picture on my profile.
I’m getting a new dog soon to keep my almost 6 year old boy company. My friend had a litter of puppies so I claimed one of the boys. Not sure exactly which is mine in the picture, and they are mutts, which I prefer. Healthier, often more behaved, and fun personalities.
Thinking of naming the new dog “Barak” as in “lightning” in Hebrew. Spending the next couple weeks cleaning and trying to puppy proof the place. #puppy#dog#dogsofmastodon
He's not eating it when he's hungry, he'll just let himself get hangry and attack me for food.
I started keeping some food around all the time (puppy recommendations are to feed on schedule and stuff) so he doesn't NEED to hide food in random corners.
He's basically not eating all his food when I give him a meal, he'll run off at some point and hide whatever is in his mouth or whatever toy he had with food in it (gross), therefore he is getting super hungry at points because he's only eating part of his food.
This is a robbery! Everyone show me your puppies!
