I've talked about Indianapolis' scuzz-punk kings BINGO BOYS before, but today I want to highlight their 2021 record 'More'. These songs are ALL bangers, as usual (fun fact about Bingo Boys, they don't even know how to write bad songs that aren't infectiously catchy).
I hope to someday be able to write a song that is as damn good as 'Glow' or 'Spidersac' here -- these tunes SMOKE. 🔥
Guitar Wolf destroyed me with everlasting high energy punk rock last night...and it was absolutely worth it! Japanese Punk Rock from that era has always been a favorite of mine, and to actually get to see one of those legendary bands perform in person was absolutely amazing.
Also, those guys are like 20 years older than me but still had more energy than half the audience there after a full set and two encore performances!
Multiple moments of crowdsurfing occurred wherein i had the privilege to touch Japanese rock legend butts!
They pulled an older lady up on stage at one point and just handed her a guitar....and through the power of rock inspired her to open up and jump around stage rocking out with them on the guitar!
Basically, if you get the chance go see them while they're touring the US because it was absolutely brilliant.
@KindlyWizard yeah, and same incredible energy and style. Seiji, the frontman, is the only one left of the lineup from back then because apparently Billy, the bassist, passed away back in the 00s. And they have a newer drummer too. But they play like they've been playing together for decades - just stupendous energy, play off each other perfectly, and that same amazing style
