Remove the #POGO. But don't touch the students, especially those who have been studying here for a very long time without causing any problems. That's fucking #racist.
Why are the POGOs still here anyway? They contribute nothing but a climate of fear in the areas it touch both for us #Filipino locals and #Chinese visitors, and the Chinese government wants us to remove them anyway because those gambling hubs shelter their fugitive oligarchs. Are the taxes gained from these crime-ridden businesses really worth it? Just do the right thing goddammit :seija_coffee:
Arf !
Walt Kelly was a well-known cartoonist in the U.S. in the 1950s and 60s. Political #satire, the Pogo #cartoon appeared in numerous newspapers. I grew up with a tattered book from an older family member that featured this version of a Christmas song.
It was also from a powerful Walt Kelly Pogo cartoon that the phrase used by the environmental movement "We have met the enemy and he is us!" came from. (Technically, it was derived from some similar phrase earlier in history, but Kelly's cartoon was about the environment).
A number of his verses were set to music and released in an album. They are on YouTube -- Walk Kelly sings the first one, Go-Go #Pogo.
He was a master of nonsense verse and word play.
Enjoy! #WaltKelly#artist

"Internally, pogo builds a consistent hash ring consisting of all participating nodes, calculates the search key by hashing the child process’ spec and determines which node in the ring “owns” the key. The local supervisor running on that node will then manage the process.
