Sunrise riding East. After a few weeks when the bikeshed studios has been given over to print making, it’s nice to get back to pastelling. This is a quick ‘palette finder’ for a new PBP themed painting, #PBP #cycling

Absolutely heartbreaking

This is what a for-profit housing system creates

A few simple steps towards a better future of housing:

  1. Reinstate the no-fault evictions ban
  2. Ban vulture & investment funds
  3. Ban private build-to-rent schemes
  4. Build public housing on public land

We were out front of the Mervue shops today with a petition to save our Mervue bus stop.

The BusConnects plan seems to want to remove this stop to make it more profitable for a private operator to take on.

This is outrageous. Our public services should serve the community not private company profit.

The Mervue community is outraged at this decision and we will keep on raising this to the planners and the council until it's changed.

We were out in Cnoc an Óir and Sliabh Ríoga this evening distributing our newsletter and talking to people about housing, workers rights and the environment.

denmanrooke,

Always great to talk to people on the doors and hear their concerns.

A lot of people are struggling with the rising costs of living & housing.

We need socialists in our councils. Vote People Before Profit, but more importantly, get involved locally and demand a better future.

If anyone's bought a @PINE64 #Pinecil, how fast is the shipping to the U.S.? Also, will it work with a 15W charger (I'm ok with it taking longer to heat up), or do you really need 65W?

I'm getting some poor conductivity with my old iron. Some tinning compound might do the trick, but I think I definitely need to upgrade to something better.

Thanks to @slembcke for the recommendation

Ah, ok. I think that's about how long my #PBP #PinebookPro took, but that was a couple years ago, so I didn't remember well enough to be sure.

On par for shipping from Asia to the US.

I think I'll go ahead and order one, and try to use my current one. I hope some tinning compound will make it work better. It was a real pain. Also, my solder is thick enough to flow into large components like the DC barrel jack easily, but way too globby for things like normal resistors and caps
