Post 1 of 3: I added 40 new releases to my music library this week. Playlists below with a track from each of the releases by these artists (sorted alphabetically): Ava Morse, beabadoobee, Blossoms, BODUR, Brooklyn Van Zandt, Dear Rouge, Destiny Forever, Dreams They Have Stolen, Dylan, FLEECE, Gigi Gold, Hot Pink Death Machine, IAN SWEET & Porridge Radio, IONA SKY, Joana Serrat, and those in other posts.
Here's a remix I did back in 2007, I just found on an old drive. This never came out, I guess the band weren't feeling it? Nevermind eh, win some loose some.
The official release has some n00b called Tricky on it. Ah well.
Anyway, I still like how everything I made back then sounds like I lived in an opium den.
Whatever happens to you has been waiting to happen since the beginning of time. The twining strands of fate wove both of them together: your own existence and the things that happen to you.
It's reminiscent of late 1990s Pavement, in the same way Pavement were reminiscent of the late 80s/ early 90s Flying Nun bands they heard on US college radio. Influenced, but not derivative.
