🤘The last backer portrait is done, and it's as metal as it can be !🤘
This is how my friend and fellow #indiedev Stickgrinder (check his game at https://illiteratecodegames.itch.io/powers-in-the-basement) will be immortalized in the game - luckily I had the right music to go with the time lapse.
How many things are on your Bandcamp wishlist? Comment em! I wanna see!
Here's mine. The bands here are a weird mix, but I listen to some of these almost daily. Many are SUPER catchy, and some I've mentioned on here before. (Warning: some brutal metal/odd cover art/song titles, etc are here, too).
There’s a trend in extreme #metal to put one really long track at the end of the album. The new Legacy of Brutality albums flips this and opens with it and knowing the big one is out the way, no matter how good it is, makes me feel more at ease. Much prefer it.
One cool thing Bandcamp does is to sometimes accurately suggest bands you'll like based on other things you've liked/wishlisted. I wishlisted/was listening to Grave Desecrator, and Bandcamp suggested Profanatica, which I hadn't heard, and it's KILLER.
Currently, listening to Rhapsody of Fire. Specifically, The Dark Secret Saga. I feel compelled to listen to the albums in chronological order, and back-to-back. That's a lot of listening. 😃
I love metal heads, when I mention metal people go crazy because you have to give it up.
You never see a guy with his shirt off screaming, "R&B!"
Metal heads are different from any other fan of music. We have like our own symbol that means metal. You just do that to another metal and he's just like "Indeed."
In my other life I'm a #phdstudent at the University of Passau, working on automated test generation for #Python. My goal is to make the life of developers better and easier by supporting them with automated tools to improve their code 1/2
I didn't watch a whole lot of live performances by #Slayer, but it just sounds like Tom doesn't really wanna sing? and just wanna go back to sleep?
I don't know why it feels like it. or maybe it's just this one specifically.
He doesn't sing half the lyrics, whenever I expect a long and angry scream he just says the word plainly.
Is it just me?
for refrence, I watched this video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0uj8YsHYzQ
