Holst 'Mars Bringer of War' from 'The Planets' is Metal!
Gustav Holst knew how to make an impression. When he composed his suite about the planets of our solar system he didn't do them in order. No, he made the most metal one first. Mars will have you bang your head until it's sore!

I don't often have to go back in a new song I'm just hearing for the first time to listen to a riff or sequence of riffs again, but I just had to do it on the LAST track of this new Nekrodawn record - it is ridiiiculous. Thx to @HailsandAles for having it on his Friday list of new releases, I would've missed it. 🔥

The only song Eddie Van Halen never got tired of
Eddie Van Halen had a bountiful amount of classics to choose from, but he admitted that this song never lost its lustre.
@TheMetalDog Who knew? Eddie's fav Van Halen song is also my fav Van Halen song. Funny - I told my wife that, and then bet her she couldn't guess the name of the song in a million years. I was right! She did rattle off about 20 VH songs, but Unchained wasn't one of them.

Salut vous autres, j’ai une place en rab pour le concert de Dvne au Black Lab à Lille ce soir. Faites tourner à vos ch’tis amateurs de sludge, c’est cadeau !
However, coincidentally I was thinking about this song earlier today: Stomp Your Hands, Clap Your Feet, from Quiet Riot's 1984 album Condition Critical.
A goofy piece of 80s glam metal, delivered with absolute commitment.
(Regrettably I had a copy of the album on CD once, but I sold it when I needed the money. However I never let go of Metal Health.)
Me on a Thursday, thinking it's a Wednesday cause the week is thrown off from the Monday holiday and me being sick yesterday so wanting to post the new Mothica for Music Women Wednesday...
A huge gap in my #metal knowledge was not having ever listened to Morbid Angel. I recently corrected this error, and boy am I glad I did. I am obsessed with this band lately. Gateways to Annihilation is the current obsession.

I'm off to Brisbane to see the mighty Cirith Ungol, live. I'll be riding the Honda CRF300 Rally down so I can explore a bit while I'm there. Should be awesome!
Cirith Ungol were absolutely phenomenal in Brisbane tonight!
I got into them around 10 years ago through Reverend Bizarre (https://youtu.be/ZnvMdZOo2U4). At that time, Cirith Ungol had already been broken up for 15 years, so I never imagined I'd get to see them live. Yet, here they are, and they still sound outstanding after all these years.
I'm stoked that they finally made it to Australia for their last ever tour. This was the best concert I've seen yet! 🤘🏻
