The CIFO x Ars Electronica Awards 2024 are honoring innovative #mediaart from Latin America for the third time in a row.
This year’s winning projects by Federico Gloriani (AR) and Guely Morató Loredo (BO) use modern media technologies to address the ecological (im)balance and the use of raw materials in Latin America. The common link: a reflection on #sustainable alternatives.
It’s that time of the year again! The Prix Ars Electronica is entering its 38th round: from today until March 1, 2024 artists can once again submit online entries to the world's longest running #mediaart competition.
The categories are "New Animation Art," "Interactive Art" and "u19-create your world. New to the competition is the “AI in Art” award, which recognises unique ways of using #artificialintelligence.
In 2023, the #mediaart world continues to operate at the intersection of tradition and innovation, marked by an era of global challenges and technological advances. This year has been a kaleidoscope of creative expression, reflecting both the fragility of our global community and the indefatigable power of human creativity. In this first part of our Ars Electronica recap, we look back on a year full of creativity, challenge and inspiration.
I find it really hard to sorta have all my creative stuff happen under one account, because of the differences but also to have multiple accounts sounds like an absolutely nightmare.
I feel like maybe I'm not finding the communities that really jive with my work, cause posting anything just results in silence on mastodon.
